The latest installment of REDCAT's quarterly series of new work and works-in-progress features dance, theater, multi-media and music performances by Los Angeles area artists. The Winter 2009 edition of Studio was curated by Anna B. Scott and Leslie Tamaribuchi, and includes the following six artists:

In Keith Glassman’s clear-eyed duet, dancers Alan Grant and Christina Gray explore Grant’s newly redefined range of motion following his paralyzing stroke, and the subsequent adaptations and negotiations that further their relationship and marriage.

Tightening and expanding our latest creation (Left has been re-named Sonnet), Keith has been invited to share the stage with four local choreographers in a show titled Then.  We’ve added a new visual element (a youtube video) and made a few other changes to improve the dance.  Plus, stroke survivor/performer Alan keeps getting better and can do more each time ; )

Left Upcoming performance of Left, the new duet made for/with stroke
by survivor Alan Grant and Christina Gray that premiered in Newport
Keith Glassman Beach in October.  This dance will be part of the monthly max10
  showcase at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA.  max10 includes a
  maximum of ten minutes of new performance, dance, music, writing
  or other work by no more than ten individual artists or groups.
