Keith Glassman Dance & Performance is a Los Angeles-based group of
2-8 performers and affiliated artists led by the
choreographer/director Keith Glassman. The company was formed in
California in 1999, having relocated from New York City where Keith
Glassman & Dancers existed from 1989-1994. Its mission is to present
new and original work that engages audiences on both intellectual and
visceral levels and that reaches viewers in traditional and
non-traditional settings. Over the past fifteen years, the company
has performed in theaters, parks, museums, schools, cultural centers
and festivals throughout the country. Along with its explorations of
movement and theater, the work examines themes such as religion,
homelessness, relationships, passion, and its current project, hope.
The company has recently established itself as a not-for-profit
organization with its own 501(c)(3) status.
